Story:
Matt Wurster Buck

Chip,

Matt Wurster BuckArrived at my tree stand 6:15 am on Dec. 9th with a scent trail of Doe to Door. Stayed in the stand all day with deer around me off and on all day. Picked off a 45lb. male coyote at around 10 a.m. and left him lay.

Did not get out of the tree. Around 3 pm I used some Rival Buck around the tree. At 4 pm a couple of doe and fawns fed at 20 yards and 45 mins. later a big doe with 2 fawns walked directly to and stopped under the tree. I thought for sure I was going to get busted. I was up in the tree about 15'. They smelled the ground, started to walk away at around 4:50 pm.

Shooting hours were going to be up at 5:06 pm. I figured my day was pretty much over, when I heard the leaves crunch from the same direction where the doe and fawns came. I turned around and about 35 yards out stepped this buck. He came the same path that the doe and fawns used and stopped directly under the tree. He stood there for about 15 seconds then continued on toward the doe and fawns.

I waited till he got about 25 yards out from the tree and stopped. Was able to take him with a neck shot at around 5pm. Has a 20" inside spread, 10 pts. and scored around 140 green. I have pictures of him on my trail cams the last 2 years. I am sure that the Rival Buck Urine must have helped get him out in the open! I can't wait till next year! I have some other photos that I'll send later.

Thanks,
Matt
